Little Emu Academy provides an Approved school readiness Program within our Long Day Care Service. Within the school readiness program, children engage in play-based learning experiences, participate in our Transition to School program (including excursions to local schools) and develop the necessary skills to provide a smooth transition to their first year of schooling.
Being situated in Emu heights, we often collaborate with council and community departments to enhance the children’s learning and development with specialised activities and programs.

Our fully approved, supervised vacation care runs indoor and outdoor programs with a focus on arts and crafts, literacy, numeracy, construction, science, nature, drama and team games. Available in the NSW public school holiday period only
Put simply, an emergent curriculum is a program which ‘emerges’ primarily from the interests of the child. Unlike a formal program where content is drawn from a predetermined syllabus, an emergent program is based around a child’s capabilities and focus. It is a play-based program that covers the requirements of the Early Years Learning Framework.

Dance, movements and healthy life styles are incorporated in our program.
Children will take part in our sustainability program and learn about planting and heathy habits.
